The story

Kumara Blend

Catalina Vásquez, a fourth-generation coffee producer, helps manage and market harvests from her family’s three coffee farms in Antioquia. Through her family’s decades of growing experience and her forward-thinking, entrepreneurial eye, Catalina and her family have invested in other farmers throughout the country to create a modern Colombian coffee

brand called Cafelumbus.

The Kumara Blend is composed of cherries from Finca La Rosa and Finca La Secreta. It is a combination of Caturra, Castillo, and Colombia varieties grown at 1,400 to 1,900 meters above sea level. The beans are washed using open-tank fermentation and mechanically dried. On the cupping table, the lot has notes of wine and watermelon, with a smooth chocolate aftertaste. The combination of excellent farming practices, high mountains, geographical position, and the leadership of women has resulted in the exceptional lot that we now call the Kumara Blend.
