From Colombia, With Partnership: Our Work with Cumbres in Antioquia

Cumbres coffee farms in Antioquia, Colombia: mountain coffee fields, green coffee, a producer family and a bird in the trees

Some coffee relationships begin with a great sample. The best ones grow into true partnerships.

We've been fortunate to work alongside Cumbres for many years, and every harvest reminds us why these long-term relationships matter. Our team has traveled to Colombia to cup coffees together, walk farms and spend time with the producers behind every lot. Those visits help us source coffees with confidence while deepening relationships that continue to grow year after year.

Who is Cumbres?

Today, Cumbres is led in part by Catalina Vásquez, a fourth-generation coffee producer whose family has been farming in Antioquia for decades. Building on that legacy, Catalina and her family have expanded Cumbres beyond their own farms, partnering with producers throughout Colombia to create a network built on transparency, consistency and exceptional quality.

One thing we especially admire is their commitment to the future of coffee. As the next generation steps into leadership, they're finding new ways to support producers, invest in quality and build lasting opportunities throughout Colombia's coffee communities.

The Cumbres Balzac Select

Our Cumbres Balzac Select is a direct reflection of that partnership. Together, we've developed a profile that showcases everything we love about Colombian coffee: sweetness, balance and remarkable consistency. It's sourced from smallholder producers in Antioquia and offers notes of pear, orange, chocolate, lemon and brown sugar, making it a dependable favorite year after year.
