Taste before you buy

Samples are how good partnerships start. Every sample is real coffee from the same lot you would buy, prepared in our Charleston lab and shipped at our cost. We keep green sample stock for our spot offerings and are glad to roast samples for you as well.

Samples ship within 2 business days, free with ground shipping in the continental U.S. Please choose one format per request. Expedited shipping and destinations outside the continental U.S. are available at cost, and larger rounds can be arranged on request.

We prepare your set

We pull samples from the same lots you would buy and ship them within 2 business days. Roasted samples come with notes on how we roasted them and our cupping notes.

Cup and tell us

All we ask in return is your feedback. It helps us keep getting closer to what you are looking for, and your advocate can reserve or contract the coffees you like.

Good to know

  • There is no cap on how often you can request samples, and consolidating requests helps us get them to you faster.
  • Reordering the same lot? No need to sample again. If the lot number changes, we will send a confirmation sample that does not count toward your request.
  • Sampling happens before you contract, so we do not send samples of coffees already under contract.
  • Samples come from spot inventory with depth. Lots down to their last bags may not be available to sample, and microlots or limited lots may be sent in reduced sizes.
  • Pre-shipment samples on forward positions are arranged through origin.
  • Planning a production test or need a larger sample? Ask your Green Coffee Advocate.
  • All samples are subject to availability.
